- Over 1000 research-oriented faculty members on the UW campus and at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC), the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, and the Institute for Systems Biology and other locations with whom trainees can conduct their graduate research
- Training at the University of Washington Medical Center , Veterans' Administration Medical Center, Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center , and Harborview Medical Center, the trauma center for the five state region as well as the option of training in rural areas.
