Wedgwood

From a west-facing hillside, the Wedgwood neighborhood looks over the distant downtown skyline. And though its less than four miles away from the city center, this small town community has more of a suburban feel than other Seattle districts. Wedgwood is a neighborhood of sleepy tree-lined streets interspersed with elementary schools and parks; it's a family friendly sort of place. A small commercial district runs along 35th Avenue NE, shops and businesses in the area provide residents with most basic services. Locals tend to frequent neighborhood pubs in the evenings and the bakery on the weekends. Wedgwood is two miles north of campus and many University students and staff reside in the area because of its convenient location and affordable housing options.
