Maple Leaf/Northgate

Just four miles from the University, the Northgate area offers affordable housing and convenient bus routes to the U-District. Apartments and ramblers predominate the housing options of this neighborhood with its tree-lined streets and wooded lots. Northgate Mall is the hub of the district's commercial center and the surrounding area has a variety of dining options, mostly national and regional chain restaurants, to entice shoppers and neighbors. Northgate is bordered by Lake City to the north and by the Maple Leaf to the south. Maple Leaf is a small district consisting of older homes. Views from this hilltop neighborhood overlook Green Lake and the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges.
